Extraction review

A PURE ACTION SEQUENCE
Extraction has a very short story which can be expressed in a line: a young boy is kidnapped; a mercenary is sent out to rescue him.
That boy is Ovi Mahajan (Rudhraksh Jaiswal), the son of a jailed Indian drug lord (Pankaj Tripathi). The one-man rescue operation is Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth).Ovi was kidnapped by Amir Asif (Priyanshu Painyuli), Bangladesh’s biggest drug lord, who also controls the country’s police and military,in Dhaka. Ovi, who lives in Mumbai with his father’s underling, Saju (Randeep Hooda) who  was in Indian Special Forces before,who knows a team that can bring the boy back to India.

Tyler reaches the kidnapper’s den: we get a longish violent showdown. Ovi and Tyler manage to escape: we get an even longer action set piece. The climax is expectedly more violent, where all the characters converge with an assortment of weapons.In the worst sceniario when things get complicated,all the world want Tyler to leave Ovi in Dhaka to save himself,he ensures Ovi that he will leave Dhaka only with Ovi though he will not get the money as he does not want to loss another child's life after losing his own child who was died by cancer.

From then it was purely action sequence like car chasing in congested areas of Dhaka,fighting with cops,escaping from the guards etc with very limited story line.Based upon rural areas of Dhaka,it shows the effective power of Drug lord on the country's Security forces,Child labour including training them with varieties of heavy weapons from very young age to be extremist.From here on,someone attacks, someone counterattacks, someone monitors and plans. 

Screenplay by Joe Russo was good though the shots were too yellowish to show the impact of the rurality of Dhaka.When it comes to individual performances,Chris Hemsworth was outstanding at action sequences,dialogue delivering(specially those Bengali word "Proman Dao").The boy(Rudhrash) was equally good in screen but Randep Hooda as Saju was exceptional,his dedication towards the whole screenplay was fabulous,he hardly has left any fault to criticize.

However for a pure entertainment and Action sequence adventure,You can surely give it a watch.
